Our restaurant is our pride and joy. Our chef, George, has three important principles that he observes in the preparation of his meals. Firstly, he uses only the best ingredients. These ingredients include many items that we grow on our farm. When he buys ingredients, he buys the best quality that he can find and he buys organic products whenever he can. All the ingredients that he uses are fresh. Secondly, George prepares his food to maintain the nutritional value and the flavours of the dishes that he serves. Cooking for too long a time or at too high a temperature reduces the nutritional value and the taste of our food. Thirdly, George presents his dishes beautifully, so that they are a feast for the eyes as well as for the stomach.
We have an extensive menu that includes a great variety of meals, from light quiches and salads to substantial meals like pork belly and lamb shank. We serve healthy breakfasts with organic eggs from our farm. We make delicious cakes, without flour or sugar, that everybody can eat. We make nutritious smoothies and other drinks with a great variety of fruits and vegetables. We offer a selection of organic wines and craft beers.
Our restaurant is open during the same hours as our shop, from Tuesday to Saturday and from 08h00 to 16h00. We serve breakfast from 08h00 to 11h00, lunch from 12h00 to 15h00 and light meals and tea and coffee and cake all day. We have a terrace where our clients can sit outside when the weather is nice, and we have a fireplace to make our restaurant warm and cosy during the cold winter weather. We would like our clients to know that we are a “slow food” place, not a “fast food” place, and that we encourage our clients to take their time and to enjoy our food in a leisurely way.
